Project Director, GPP Bhutan

Yeshey Penjor is the Project Director for the Green Public Procurement Project. He is responsible for leading the GPPB Project Implementation in Bhutan in collaboration with the project implementing partners, colleagues at the GPPB Project Office and the multiple stakeholders for promoting green procurement in the public sector in Bhutan

He started his career as a civil engineer in the Department of Power. Later he moved to the National Environment Commission (NEC) Secretariat where he worked on various environment-related projects, programmes and policies. Subsequently, he worked as the Climate Change Policy Specialist in UNDP and was even a political candidate of Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa. He has almost 28 years of combined work experience in the civil service, UNDP, politics and freelance environmental consultancy.
